Mr Doug McNicholl, Manager of Sustainability Innovation, Meat & Livestock Australia

Doug is Innovation Manager experienced in livestock production, research and development, infrastructure project development, and business administration.

Currently Sustainable Innovation Manager at Meat and Livestock Australia. Oversees AUD12.5M p.a. investment into innovation processes where sustainability considerations (environmental, social, financial) are integrated into the Australian red meat value chain from idea generation through to commercialization. This applies to new technology, products and services, as well as new business and organization models.

Partner in McNicholl Livestock & Veterinary Services, a beef production business in Queensland.
Former positions include R&D Program Manager at the Australian Meat Processor Corporation and various renewable energy project development roles in the UK.

Davina Rooney, Chief Executive Officer, Green Building Council of Australia

Davina has led the Green Building Council of Australia since June 2019.

Davina is a property professional with a broad range of sustainability experience, from environmental projects, not-for profit boards and overseas community development work, spending 8 months working in the Indian Himalayas on the construction of a school which won multiple international awards.

Career highlights include a decade at Stockland which was a global leader in sustainability and therefore understands how the GBCA’s global leadership translates into real-world outcomes. Stockland was recognised in 2016 and 2018 simultaneously holding the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Global Property leader, GRESB Global leader (Retail/Office) and recognised on the CDP Leaders A-list.

Ms Camille Reed, Founder/Director, Australian Circular Textile Association (ACTA)

Camille Reed is renowned in the industry for her can-do attitude, and feverous passion for sustainability. Camille has proudly aligned herself through partnerships with National and International circular economy experts as she builds Australia’s newest and largest association, the Australasian Circular Textile Association (ACTA). ACTA is here to support and facilitate circular practice in the fashion sector through a national textile take-back scheme. Never one to sit back and wait for change, Camille is recognised as a world leader in fashion sustainability founding Australia’s first Circular Fashion Conference, (ACFC) – an annual event collectively supporting Australasia’s fashion industry in sustainable best practice.

Ms Elizabeth Rose, Partner, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, Ernst & Young

Elizabeth works with clients across a range of sectors including government mining, oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, finance, real estate and agriculture.

Elizabeth is a Partner of Ernst & Young (EY), and leader of EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability practice in Queensland. Over the past 15 years, as sustainability has grown in strategic importance, Elizabeth has advised government, leading corporates and NGOs in relation to their non-financial performance, and how best to leverage this to drive positive outcomes for organisations and their stakeholders. Her key areas of focus include transparency and reporting, stakeholder engagement, sustainability strategy, climate change risk, decarbonisation, outcomes measurement and compliance.

Elizabeth works with clients across a range of sectors including government mining, oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, finance, real estate and agriculture.

Dr Lesley Stone, Manager, Sustainability and Environment, University of Auckland

Lesley manages the University of Auckland’s institutional sustainability programme. Her decades long involvement in sustainability has included advocacy, research and teaching in her specialty area of organisational change for sustainability. She has also acted as an advisor to central and local government agencies, businesses, community groups and NGOs, and has served as a board member or trustee in sustainability, environmental and conservation groups in New Zealand and Australia.

In 2019, she was host and co-chair of the steering group for New Zealand’s second national Sustainable Development Goals Summit and co-chair and co-convenor of the multi-sector Summit Stakeholder Group. She also chairs a Universities New Zealand Expert Working Group on the SDG and Sustainability. The University of Auckland is using the SDGs to strategically power up their institutional sustainability programme, and build collaboration amongst a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Mr Adrian Enright, Director of Partnerships, Tasman Environmental Markets

Adrian Enright is the Director of Partnerships, Tasman Environmental Markets. Adrian brings over a decade of experience in the carbon markets, having started his career with Victorian Treasury’s Climate Change branch before spending nearly 5 years with the United Nations and Netherlands Development Organisation in Vietnam.

In this role Adrian managed carbon and sustainable agriculture projects across the region, including Bhutan, Nepal, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Adrian has also worked with WWF-Australia as a policy advisor, and is senior representative of the Surfrider Foundation in Australia.

Mr Iain Stewart, CEO, Exergenics

Iain is the Founder and CEO of Exergenics, which helps businesses to reduce air conditioning and refrigeration costs using machine learning and optimisation. He has consulted corporates and government agencies on the risks and opportunities involved in the technological disruption that will occur, as we transition to a net zero emissions economy.

Iain has several years’ experience in energy modelling at Monash University, working closely with CSIRO, and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Melbourne.

Mr Chad Hardy, Founder, Snowater

Chad spent the last five years working for transportation technology companies, Uber and GoCatch, in growth orientated and senior management roles before moving into the energy and environmental sector at the end of 2018.

Chad has several years experience building complicated models and implementing technical efficiencies. He carries a public policy and legal background enabling an in depth understanding of complicated regulatory and commercial environments.

Chad founded Snowater to create economically viable environmental solutions. Changing the world requires ideas, energy, and the economic means to make it a reality. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies by unlocking liquidity and deploying it to support local communities and businesses.

Miss Camille Socquet-Clerc, Communication Manager, EnergyLab

Camille is the Communications Manager for EnergyLab. After working for large retail organisations and media agencies in Europe and Australia, Camille decided to dedicate her communication and marketing skills to support the clean energy transition and joined the leading cleantech accelerator in Australia: EnergyLab. Passionate about climate solutions, her mission is to promote cleantech entrepreneurship and share EnergyLab’ startups success in the media.
